Easter Eggstravaganza, Traquair, Innerleithen Sunday 16 April

Grounds open 11.00am, with activities from midday. The Biggest egg hunt in the Borders with 6,000 mini eggs hidden in the maze, and lots more fun activities all day.  A cracking good Easter Sunday for all the family.  Adults £6.00. Easter Fun at Abbotsford with the White Rabbit, Melrose TD6 9BC Sunday 16 April

Join the Walking Theatre Company for a performance of The White Rabbit’s Easter Walk through the magical Abbotsford gardens and woodlands and if you’re not ready to tumble down the rabbit hole, join in a host of other family activities and Easter fun, from arts and crafts to fun games and magical performances. Abbotsford will have a host of fun activities for all ages including an Easter egg hunt, crafts, a magician and much, much more. Ochiltree’s Café is serving roast lamb and special afternoon teas to titillate the taste buds and promises a wonderland of magical fun – make your Easter eggstra special and come to Abbotsford.

Bowhill Easter Sunday Fun Day, Selkirk, Sunday 16 April 11.oo-16.00

Visit Bowhill for an eggs-cellent Easter with fun for all the family!  Win a small egg in the Easter trail, leap like a lamb on our bouncy castle, eggs-tend your knowledge of Bowhill on a House tour.  Plus, the Eggs-Factor Competition returns – don’t forget to enter! Floors Castle Easter Weekend & Family Fun Day, Kelso 14 – 17 April

Visit Floors Castle throughout the Easter weekend and on Sunday 16th (11.00-16.00) for a special family fun day.  Roxy Bear will visit on Easter Sunday helping you and the family enjoy your very own bear hunt through the grounds.  Additionally there will be face painting organised for the little ones as well as a bouncy castle and kids crafts (check website for details).  Plus you can bring the outdoors inside, squelch, squelch with fun storytelling including ‘We Are Going On a Bear Hunt’ in the Courtyard Cafe.  Bring along your own decorated egg to enter the competition then partake in the big egg roll down our castle mound.

Easter Fun at Ford & Etal Estates April 16-17, 10.00-17.00

Lots to see and do over Easter weekend and during the Easter Holidays.
Easter Quiz for kids around Etal village on Easter Sunday & Monday – pick up quiz sheets from the Lavender Tearooms and return completed to win a Cream Egg.
Lavender Tearooms & Shop decorated in a Mad Hatter’s theme, with staff in costume on Easter Sunday and Monday and Easter treats in the Tearoom.
Pop-up Market in Etal Village Hall, Easter Sunday 11am-3pm.
Etal Castle – kids’ quiz around the castle with chocolate treats for completed quizzes (admission charges apply).
Heatherslaw Light Railway – Railway passengers’ bunny hunt on Easter Sunday and Monday (admission charges apply). Mad Hatter’s Tea Party display and ticket office decorated in Easter theme. Bric-a-brac table (Easter Monday) in aid of Air Ambulance. Enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny on Easter Sunday, with chocolate treats for children.
Heatherslaw Cornmill, Gift Shop and Visitor Centre – Mad Hatter theme and staff in costume, Easter Sunday and Monday; also Easter Quiz for kids around the site (outdoors ) with chocolate treats as prizes. Every Monday – Wednesday between 3rd and 19th April make and bake hot cross buns in the Mill (admission charges apply; pre-booking required).
